A private dry waste recycling unit in collaboration with BBMP was inaugurated in Yelahanka on Thursday.

The city endures the burden of around 3,000 tonnes of waste every day. In an addition to that, festival seasons give it a spike of 35 per cent, according to BBMP. This year, to manage the festival waste in each ward, the civic authority, along with the residents' groups, decided to celebrate an eco-friendly Ugadi.
